Now if you have a list of Percent Gainer in a day like this, you have a lot of stocks to go through just to find the perfect one to be traded. So how do we simplify the search? There are 2 things I usually do I will use Finviz.com and Stockfetcher to fine tune everything.

FINVIZ.COM FILTER
With Finviz.com I will place the percent gainer under the filters that will help me reduce the number of stock that I will be looking for. These are the following criteria I usually used:
  1. I have to make sure that the Institutional transactions is Positive > 0%.
  2. That the Float Short is Low < 5%. Not much people thinking of shorting.
  3. The EPS growth Qtr per Qtr is Positive > 0% 
  4. And the Sales growth Qtr per Qtr is also Positive > 0%
  5. And Current Volume is > 200K
How do I accomplish this thing? 
  1. Since I have the Percent Gainer on my Excel Spreadsheet all I have to do is pick up all the tickers from excel separated with comma so I can copy and paste them side by side with this link for finviz.com. This list of tickers separated with comma is also done automatically using my Percent Gainer Scooper.

  3. So based on the Finviz and Stockfetcher cross-reference there is one ticker which came up on both. And that is "BWEN". This ticker showed up against all the stringent filtration based on the Minervini SEPA strategy at the same time came up against the Finviz filtation criteria like a. Institutional transactions is Positive > 0%.
    b. Float Short is Low < 5%. Not much people thinking of shorting.
    c. EPS growth Qtr per Qtr is Positive > 0%
    d. Sales growth Qtr per Qtr is also Positive > 0%
    e. And Current Volume is > 200K
You can also utilize the results of both filtration system to create your own new list that will be your basis in studying more the company you would like to put money on. Just remember that you want to ride with the company that would become superperformer. As I mentioned on my previous post
SEPA Strategy has 5 key elements to consider so you can pick the superperformer stock.

  1. TREND. Superperformance stocks can be identified with the definite price uptrend.
  2. Fundamentals. In the early stage the earnings and sales are on the table. Then in the Superperformance phase the earnings, revenue and margins improved.
  3. Catalyst. Every superperformance is ignited with catalyst behind it like new product development, new drug approval, which makes investors excited and drive the interest of Institutions.
  4. Entry Points. Timing the entry is very important, otherwise you get stopped out or lse considerably if you miss a turn.
  5. Exit Points. Always consider profit. Identifying the end of the run is the key in order to keep what you made.
Use this now as your point of reference to make sure that the following stocks can qualify into the above categories.
